Following 18 months of research, I will finally publish by debut title “Social Media Under Investigation, Law Enforcement and the Social Web” at my book and website launch in the Irish Writer’s Centre in Dublin this evening.
Thank you to everyone who has sent me messages of support. It means a lot. Now I’ve been organising other people and other organisation’s events for many years, so have lots of experience in all aspects of PR and event management, however doing it for myself is much more challenging. I guess putting myself on the pedestal for a change as opposed to mentoring somebody else onto it, turns the tables. However, your kind words has help me push aside those negative notions!
The subject matter of my book is one that is complex but interesting, niche but all-important but most of all timely and relevant. Police forces like other organisation’s have adopted social media as core part of their communications – but to what extent and how have they adapted it for crime investigation? This is at the core of my own narrative.
I would like to thank the team behind me who have worked tirelessly on this book.
I also hope you, the reader, if you dare to get into this book, enjoy it.
So come back in a few days to see, hear and watch proceedings from my book launch.
