Civilians Can Do
Social Media Investigations, Too!
I’m really looking forward to joining LESMLive on Blab this Thursday at 4am – yes it’s Christmas Eve and I’ll be up bright and early. However, it’s 8pm Pacific Time in the United States. Thanks to Mike Bires for inviting me on this Blab – it’s a subject I’m very passionate about.
About the Blab
Do you want to conduct your own social media investigations? Maybe you’re curious what a family member is doing online, or what an employee is saying about you or the company. Whether you want to verify the validity of a website or social media account, or need to determine the activities of your teen daughter, this episode of The Law Enforcement Social Media Podcast and COPS on Blab is just for you.
This episode will be airing immediately before Christmas. It’s a time when new mobile devices and internet capable electronics will be un-wrapped and online faster than it took you to order the item. You probably need to brush up on your super-sleuth skills and know what to look for when it comes to looking into where junior will be venturing on the world wide web.
For small business owners and entrepreneurs, here’s your opportunity to ask us about online safety and security and trolls. You’ve put great effort into your online presence, now it’s time to protect not only your business but you as well.
If you are a law enforcement social media manager, heads up to you too! We want you to know the information that’s publicly shared and hear some of the experiences our followers have had when encountering issues online.
